Descripción:
5-Amino-3-phenylisoxazole is a potent inhibitor of amido amidases, which are enzymes that hydrolyze amino acids. It is used to treat acute phase reactions and pain associated with muscle injury. 5-Amino-3-phenylisoxazole has also been shown to have pharmacological effects, such as the inhibition of the formation of imidates, which are important intermediates in the metabolism of glutamate. The drug also has an anti-ischemic effect on heart muscles and has been shown to inhibit formylation reactions in the nerve system.
