2-Amino-1-phenylethyl)dimethylamine (2APEDMA) is a ligand that is soluble in methanol and has been shown to be superconducting at temperatures below -30°C. The 2APEDMA molecule has a transition temperature of -115°C, which is higher than other ligands in its class. Systematic studies have shown that the crystallization process of 2APEDMA can be influenced by the addition of diethanolamine as a co-crystallizer. Crystals obtained from this process have textures that are more complex than those obtained with other ligands, such as ethylenediamine.
