Allyl Acetoacetate is an organic compound that is the simplest member of the acetic acid esters. It can be synthesized by reacting allyl alcohol with hydrochloric acid and a particle. Allyl Acetoacetate has been shown to have cytotoxic effects on cardiac tissues, as well as certain reactive properties, which may be due to its ability to form cross-links with proteins. This compound is also used as a cross-linking agent for polyvinyl chloride plastics.
