Descripción:3-Aminobenzophenone is an antimicrobial agent that binds to the receptor site of bacterial cell membranes and inhibits the synthesis of fatty acids. 3-Aminobenzophenone has shown antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria, such as Bacillus subtilis, Listeria monocytogenes, and Staphylococcus aureus. The mode of action is thought to be due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds with the amide group in proteins. 3-Aminobenzophenone has also been shown to be effective against Gram-negative bacteria, such as Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This compound can be synthesized by a number of methods, including a skeleton method or by using molecular modeling techniques.
