Descripción:2-Amino-3-chlorobenzonitrile is a linker in the synthesis of serotonin, an endogenous neurotransmitter that is involved in many physiological and psychological processes. The x-ray crystallographic studies of this molecule revealed that it has a similar structure to the analogs used for anticancer activity and bioassays. This molecule has shown anticancer activity against tumor cell lines with high levels of serotonin production, such as colon cancer cells. It also shows anti-cancer effects by binding to cryptochrome and stabilizing its structure. 2-Amino-3-chlorobenzonitrile interacts with hydrogen bonding interactions.
