Astragaloside is a natural product that has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against tumor cells in experimental models. It has also been shown to inhibit the production of prostaglandin E2 and interleukin-6, which may contribute to its antitumor response. Astragaloside is a potent inhibitor of cyclase activity and has been shown to bind DNA with high affinity. This agent also inhibits deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) binding activity and induces significant cytotoxicity against tumor cells in experimental models. Astragaloside has also been found to be an effective benzalkonium chloride (BZK) scavenger, which may contribute to its anti-inflammatory properties.
