Descripción:Angeloylgomisin H is a fructofuran lignan isolated from the roots of Angelica Dahurica. It has been shown to have antiproliferative activity in human cancer cells and has been shown to inhibit the activity of enzymes involved in carcinogenic metabolism, such as ornithine decarboxylase and acetylcholinesterase. Angeloylgomisin H is also able to detoxify certain carcinogens, including benzo(a)pyrene, by promoting their conversion into nontoxic metabolites. The compound has also been shown to have anti-diabetic effects, which may be related to its ability to stimulate insulin release.
