2-Amino-3,4,5,6-Tetrafluorobenzoic Acid (2AFBA) is an industrial chemical that is used in the production of medicines and other chemicals. 2AFBA is a white solid with a melting point of 155°C. It has been shown to have antibacterial properties against various strains of bacteria. This property may be due to the substitution of fluorine atoms for chlorine atoms on the benzene ring, which inhibits bacterial growth by binding to DNA and RNA. 2AFBA is also able to inhibit bacterial growth by inhibiting protein synthesis via inhibition of ribosomal activity.
