4-Azido-3,5-Dichloro-2,6-Difluoropyridine is a nucleophile that is used in the synthesis of natural polymers. It is used as a crosslinker in the polymerization of cellulose and chitin. 4-Azido-3,5-Dichloro-2,6-Difluoropyridine also has an ability to react with amines by nucleophilic attack to form ureas. 4ADDF has been shown to be able to decouple buffers and heterobifunctional reagents by forming stable adducts with them. This chemical has been shown to produce a paradigm shift in the way that chemists think about reactions involving amines and buffers.
