Descripción:N2-Methylpyridine-2,3-diamine is a cytotoxic agent that is hydrophobic and has been shown to be cytotoxic against human cancer cells. It has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis in cancer cells by inhibiting the translation of mRNA into proteins.N2-Methylpyridine-2,3-diamine inhibits the activity of diazepinones and other compounds that are involved in the synthesis of fatty acids and cholesterol. This compound also inhibits acetonitrile reductase, an enzyme involved in the synthesis of acetoacetate, which leads to cell death.
