Descripción

(+)-Menthyl Acetate is an aryl halide that is used as an antifungal agent. It has the ability to inhibit the growth of Fusarium sporotrichioides and other fungi by disrupting the cell membrane and inhibiting protein synthesis. This compound also exhibited significant antifungal activity against Ochrobactrum anthropi, a bacterium that is resistant to many antibiotics. (+)-Menthyl acetate also has some antiviral properties, as it was shown to inhibit influenza virus replication in vitro and light emission from bacteria.
