Información del producto
- Hydrazinecarbodithioic Acid, Methyl Ester
- Methyl Hydrazine Carbodithioate
Methyl hydrazinecarbodithioate is an inhibitor of the enzyme dihydrofolate reductase that is used as a cervical cancer drug. It has been shown to be effective in vitro in preventing the growth of cervical cancer cells. Methyl hydrazinecarbodithioate binds to copper and potassium dichromate, forming a copper-complexed methyl hydrazinecarbodithioate. This complex inhibits the synthesis of DNA and RNA by binding to amines and chelate ligands on the enzyme, which prevents the formation of hydrogen bonds with thymine nucleotides. The rate of reaction is dependent on pH, temperature, and concentration, with higher concentrations yielding higher rates.
