Descripción:
2,2-Diphenylpropionitrile is a hydrogen bond donor. It has been shown to be an analog of benzonitrile. 2,2-Diphenylpropionitrile is used in the synthesis of pyrimidine derivatives. This compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and to catalyze the conversion of imines into imine salts. 2,2-Diphenylpropionitrile has also been shown to inhibit the inflammatory response by inhibiting cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2).
