Descripción:The synthesis of 2-nitrophenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole is achieved by condensation of hydrazides and orthoesters. The catalytic solvents used in the reaction are trifluoroacetic acid or acetic anhydride. The use of this methodology has been shown to be efficient and can be used for the synthesis of other derivatives. This method is also efficient and does not require more than one reagent or catalyst. It is toxic to humans but does not have any mutagenic effects on DNA.
