• Descripción: Acid Brown 14 is a polybasic, acidic dye that is produced by the oxidation of 2-naphthol. It has been used in surface methodology to measure the rate of acid production and the efficiency of the method. Acid Brown 14 has been shown to have a constant and efficient kinetic for cardiac tissue. This dye can be synthesized in an acidic pH range and it has been shown to have good morphology. Acid Brown 14 is also used as a colorant in agar media for bacterial cultures, where it produces brown colonies on a medium with a neutral pH.
