Descripción:2-Nitrobenzene-1-sulfonohydrazide is a drug that is used for the treatment of certain types of microbial infections. It is a reaction product of allyl carbonate and 2-nitrobenzenesulfonyl hydrazide, which are converted to the active form by hydrolysis. The active form inhibits the activity of adrenergic receptors, specifically alpha-adrenergic receptors, which are involved in the inflammatory response. 2-Nitrobenzene-1-sulfonohydrazide also inhibits cortistatin, which is an endogenous peptide with potent antiinflammatory properties. This drug has been shown to be effective in treating animals with inflammatory diseases and may be useful in treating humans with similar conditions.
