It also has been shown to inhibit the release of gonadotropins and testosterone in male rats. In addition, it inhibits the activity of various hormone receptors such as benzodiazepine, histamine H1 and muscarinic receptors.2-Chloro-5-nitro-1H-benzo[d]imidazole has been shown to have a number of profiles that are either agonistic or antagonistic depending on its binding site.
