Descripción:AST-487 is a molecule that inhibits tyrosine kinase activity, which is associated with the proliferation and survival of cancer cells. It binds to the catalytic domain of the flt3 tyrosine kinase and blocks the activation of this enzyme. This drug has been shown to inhibit the formation of leukocyte antigen-expressing cells in vivo, which may be due to its ability to inhibit erythropoiesis. The structural analysis revealed that AST-487 binds to a region on Kinesin that is close to its ATP binding site. This binding prevents ATP from interacting with Kinesin, thereby inhibiting its function.
