Descripción:5-Bromopyridine-2-carboxylic acid is a water soluble molecule, which contains nitrogen atoms. This compound has been shown to have hemolytic activity and picolinic acid. The coordination geometry of this molecule has been studied with x-ray crystal structures. The molecule was synthesized as a tetranuclear cluster in the presence of palladium (II) ions, which are considered an antimicrobial agent. 5-Bromopyridine-2-carboxylic acid also has anticancer properties and can be used for cancer therapy. It binds to the PD-L1 protein, which is found on T cells, B cells, macrophages, and neutrophils. This binding leads to cell death by either apoptosis or necrosis.
