1-[2-[Bis[4-(Trifluoromethyl)phenyl]methoxy]ethyl]-5,6-dihydro-2H-pyridine-3-carboxylic acid is a drug that has been shown to have a modulating effect on the acetylcholine receptor. It also inhibits the uptake of GABA, which is a neurotransmitter that is involved in regulating muscle tone and activity levels. 1-[2-[Bis[4-(Trifluoromethyl)phenyl]methoxy]ethyl]-5,6-dihydro-2H-pyridine-3-carboxylic acid is used to treat diseases in the nervous system such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. This drug has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on locomotor activity in Sprague Dawley rats.
