3,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]boronic Acid is a boronate ligand that binds to calcium in a reversible manner. Boronic acid can be used as an additive in palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions to form carbon-carbon bonds. 3,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]boronic Acid is also used for the synthesis of dihydropyridines, which are used as inhibitors of serine proteases. 3,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]boronic Acid reacts with primary amines to form hydrogen bonds and inactivate the enzyme.
