Bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)azanide is a chemical compound that is a colorless liquid at room temperature. It has been shown to react with piperidinium in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid to form bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)piperidinium. The reaction proceeds through a proton transfer mechanism and is complete in less than 1 minute. Bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)azanide is soluble in most organic solvents, but not in water.
