Descripción:BQ-123 is a cyclic peptide that has been shown to have a binding affinity for the serotonin receptor. The binding of BQ-123 to the receptor leads to a reduction in intracellular calcium concentration, which may be due to the inhibition of serine protease activity. This agent also inhibits the production of tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and has an inhibitory effect on cardiac contractility.
