The structure of (4-bromo-3,5-dimethylphenyl)amine is based on a planar aromatic ring with two methyl groups and one bromine atom. The nmr spectra are used to study the parameters of this compound. The crystal structure of (4-bromo-3,5-dimethylphenyl)amine has been studied using X-ray diffraction and found to be tetrahedral. Photochemistry studies have shown that the methyl group on (4-bromo-3,5-dimethylphenyl)amine is susceptible to attack by fluorine atoms from chlorofluorocarbons and other halogenated molecules.
