5-Bromo-1H-1,2,3-benzotriazole (5BBT) is a stabilizer that is used in the synthesis of organic compounds. It is a bidentate ligand that cross-couples with nucleophiles to form stable organometallic complexes. 5BBT has been shown to be an efficient metallization catalyst for the synthesis of thin films. In addition, 5BBT can be used as an additive in recording media and as an aerobic stabilizer in organic chemistry reactions.
