4,6-Bis((R)-4-phenyl-4,5-dihydrooxazol-2-yl)dibenzo[b,d]furan is a chiral ligand that can be used as an asymmetric catalyst in asymmetric hydrogenation reactions. It has been shown to selectively bind to the carbonyl group of ketones and aldoximes. This compound also has the ability to catalyze the transfer of a proton or other nucleophile from one molecule to another. The conformation of this compound is sensitive to changes in pH and temperature. 4,6-Bis((R)-4-phenyl-4,5-dihydrooxazol-2-yl)dibenzo[b,d]furan is a ligand for many transition metal complexes with moderate strength.
