• Descripción: Bicyclohexyl-1-carboxylic acid 2-(diethylamino)ethyl ester is a methyltransferase inhibitor that inhibits the enzymes that catalyze the transfer of methyl groups to other molecules, such as proteins and lipids. It has been shown to have gastrointestinal and cancer chemopreventive effects in vitro assays. Bicyclohexyl-1-carboxylic acid 2-(diethylamino)ethyl ester also inhibits neurokinin-1 receptor and phosphodiesterase activity, which is responsible for the breakdown of cyclic nucleotides. This inhibition leads to an increase in cAMP levels, which are important in regulating protein synthesis.
