tert-Butyl (2-(methylamino)ethyl)carbamate is an industrial chemical that can be synthesized by reducing tert-butyl with sodium borohydride in the presence of an aprotic solvent. The synthesis of tert-butyl (2-(methylamino)ethyl)carbamate involves refluxing this chemical in an organic solvent such as toluene or benzene with sodium borohydride. This reaction yields tert-butyl (2-(methylamino)ethyl)carbamate in high yield.
The reduction of tert-butyl (2-(methylamino)ethyl)carbamate can be performed using sodium borohydride in an aprotic solvent such as DMF or THF at reflux temperature.
