Butyl piperazine-1-carboxylate is a benzyl group that is used as an inhibitor of the CCR5 receptor. It has been shown to have inhibitory activity against cancer and autoimmune diseases, as well as a potent anti-inflammatory effect. Butyl piperazine-1-carboxylate has been shown to be effective in inhibiting the growth of prostate cancer cells and reducing the incidence of colitis in mice. The mechanism of action for this compound is not fully understood, but it may be due to its ability to bind with fatty acids, or its inhibition of growth factor signalling pathways.
