2-Bromo-5-methoxypyridine is a heterocycle that belongs to the class of thiazolones. It is a pyridyl derivative and has been used as a ligand in transition metal complexes. 2-Bromo-5-methoxypyridine has been shown to be catalytic at temperatures between -50 °C and 100 °C. This molecule has also been shown to undergo mesomorphic transitions at -80 °C, which are reversible and repeatable.
