2-(4-Bromophenyl)propan-2-ol is a chemical compound that is used in organic synthesis as an alkylating agent. It has been shown to be a useful reagent for the cross-coupling of chlorides, methyl esters, and 4-bromobenzonitrile with palladium catalysis. Optimization of this coupling reaction has been studied by varying the concentration of the reactants and reagents, which has led to improved yields.
