Descripción:
9,10-Bis(chloromethyl)anthracene is a fluorescent molecule that has been used to study the transport properties of potassium ion channels. 9,10-Bis(chloromethyl)anthracene has also been shown to be an effective inhibitor of enzyme activities. The fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) process can be used to identify the binding site for this molecule on the surface of a protein. This molecule binds with high affinity to carbohydrate molecules, making it ideal for use as a fluorescent probe in biological systems.
