Descripción:
4-Bromophenethyl bromide is a chemical that inhibits bacterial growth and has been shown to be effective against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. 4-Bromophenethyl bromide is an antibacterial agent that exerts its activity by binding to the dimer interface of the enzyme serine protease, inhibiting the hydrolysis of peptidoglycan precursors in the bacterial cell wall. It also inhibits estradiol production by aromatase, which may be useful for hormone replacement therapy. The most notable effect of 4-bromophenethyl bromide is its ability to cause coagulation, which may be due to its ability to bind with proteins and form complexes.
