It does this by binding to the ATP binding site of the enzyme, which disrupts its function. 4-Bromo-3-Chloro Benzonitrile has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth and proliferation in vitro. This drug has also been shown to inhibit tumour growth in vivo, through interaction with the ATP binding site of the enzyme. 4-Bromo-3-Chloro Benzonitrile may be a potential therapy for cancers that have mutations in their ATP binding site.
