S-Bioallethrin is an insecticide that belongs to the group of pyrethroids. It has been shown to be effective against bacterial strains, including Bacillus cereus, in a sample preparation study. The genotoxic effects of S-Bioallethrin have been studied in maternal blood cells and mouse brain cells. This insecticide has also shown cholinergic properties that are related to its ability to inhibit the release of acetylcholine from nerve endings. S-Bioallethrin has also been shown to have toxic effects on rat neurons with high resistance and to cause disruption of the ryanodine receptor, which is involved in calcium regulation.
