Descripción:4-Bromo-3,5-dimethylphenol is a brominating agent that reacts with organic substances by the addition of bromine. It is used as an industrial solvent and reagent in organic synthesis. The acetate ion is used to adjust the pH to 7, which activates the ammonium ion for the formation of ammonium hydroxide. In this way, the brominating agent will be converted into a salt form and no longer be reactive.
