9,9-Bis(4-aminophenyl)fluorene is a monomer with the chemical formula C14H10N2. It is synthesized by reacting an aliphatic hydrocarbon with a proton in a reaction vessel containing deionized water. The thermal expansion of 9,9-bis(4-aminophenyl)fluorene is approximately 2.6x10^6/°C at room temperature. The chemical structures of 9,9-bis(4-aminophenyl)fluorene can be determined using FTIR spectroscopy and nmr spectra. The polymerization of 9,9-bis(4-aminophenyl)fluorene occurs by thermally decomposing the material in hydrochloric acid or sodium hydrogen sulfate solution.
