O,O'-Bis(2-aminopropyl)polypropyleneglycol is a chemical compound that is structurally classified as an aliphatic polyether. It has been shown to have a viscosity of 3.5 cP in water and 4.0 cP in methanol, and can be used as an antimicrobial agent against Gram-positive bacteria. This compound binds to the enzyme arabinitol dehydrogenase, which is required for the glycolysis pathway in mammalian cells. O,O'-Bis(2-aminopropyl)polypropyleneglycol also inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the cell membrane and preventing the transport of nutrients into the cell.
