Descripción:4-(Benzyloxy)-2-methylaniline is a benzyl-containing analogue of 4-hydroxy-2-methylaminobenzaldehyde. It mimics the side chain of tyrosine, and can be used as a targeting molecule to bind to proteins that contain the same structural motif. The binding affinity between 4-(benzyloxy)-2-methylaniline and protein is strong enough to compete with the natural substrate in some cases, leading to changes in protein conformation. These interactions can also be used as a model system for drug discovery, as they mimic the interaction between small organic molecules and proteins.
