Información del producto
4-Bromo-2-iodophenol is a synthetic compound that has been used in the synthesis of triarylbismuth, tribromide, and other halides. It is also used as a precursor to 4-bromo-3-iodobenzofuran, which is used in the synthesis of benzofurans. When combined with an electrophile such as formaldehyde or acetaldehyde, 4-bromo-2-iodophenol undergoes nucleophilic substitution reactions. This process can be catalyzed by acid or base. The reaction can also be catalysed by metal salts such as zinc chloride.
