Descripción:Bamifylline hydrochloride is a drug that has been shown to be effective in treating the symptoms of chronic pulmonary disease, such as cough and bronchitis. It has been shown to improve the respiratory function of patients with chronic pulmonary disease by reducing the secretion of mucus and increasing lung elasticity. Bamifylline hydrochloride also helps relieve inflammation by inhibiting cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase (cNPD) and decreasing the production of arachidonic acid, which is involved in inflammatory reactions. Bamifylline hydrochloride may be useful for treating autoimmune diseases, because it inhibits sodium carbonate from activating T-cells, which are required for activation of an autoimmune response.
