tert-Butyl ((S)-1-aminopropan-2-yl)carbamate (TBPCA) is a selective inhibitor of protein kinases. It has been shown to regulate the activity of b-raf, an enzyme that regulates cell proliferation. TBPCA also inhibits the production of amyloid beta peptides in the brain and has shown efficacy in treating lung diseases, cancer, and metabolic disorders. TBPCA binds to ATP and prevents it from binding to the protein kinase domain on the enzyme, preventing phosphorylation. This drug may be beneficial for treating Alzheimer's disease or depression by regulating proteins involved in these diseases.
