- Methylcarbamic acid 2,3-(isopropylidenedioxy)phenyl ester2,3-(Isopropylidenedioxy)phenol methylcarbamate2,2-Dimethyl-1,3-benzodiox ol-4-yl N-methylcarbamate
Marca:Biosynth
Descripción:Bendiocarb is a carbamate insecticide that is non-systemic, meaning it does not enter the bloodstream and is rapidly broken down in the environment. It works by interfering with the enzyme activity of p450 in insects. Bendiocarb has been shown to be toxic to animals, but it does not show any signs of toxicity in humans. The most common side effects include nausea, headache and dizziness. Tests have shown that this insecticide affects the liver, kidneys, testes and adrenal glands of rats.
Bendiocarb is an analytical method for detecting carbaryl in soil samples. It can also be used to determine the activity of p450 enzymes in vitro and to study the toxicity of carbamates on model systems such as yeast cells or bacteria. Bendiocarb can be measured using a polymerase chain reaction assay that measures the amount of DNA produced during replication. This assay is sensitive enough to measure small quantities of bendiocarb residues in food
