Descripción:R-(3)-Benzyloxy myristic acid is an adjuvant that is used in vaccines. It is a synthetic molecule with the ability to activate antigen-specific CD4 and CD8 T-cells. R-(3)-Benzyloxy myristic acid has been shown to be an efficient method of enhancing antigen-specific antibody production by stimulating dendritic cells. This agent is also pH sensitive and can be used as a vaccine adjuvant at acidic pH values, which are found in the stomach. R-(3)-Benzyloxy myristic acid has been shown to stimulate T-cell proliferation and increase the expression of co-stimulatory molecules on these cells, increasing the efficiency of immunization.
