• Descripción: N2,N6-Bis-cbz-L-lysine is a synthetic acid transporter that is used to inhibit the transport of lysine across the cell membrane. It is an amide, which can be synthesized from lysine and benzoyl chloride. This compound has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on tumor growth in vitro and in vivo. N2,N6-Bis-cbz-L-lysine is active when targeting acidic environments such as tumors. The carbonyl group of this molecule reacts with the hydroxyl group at C4′ on the ribose ring of nucleosides to form a 1,2 diol moiety. This reaction leads to inhibition of DNA synthesis by preventing RNA polymerase from binding to DNA.
