Información del producto
4-Bromo-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran is a chemical compound and an agonist of the melatonin receptor. It has been shown to be active against bacteria, fungi and viruses. The drug is synthesized by reacting 4-bromobenzofuran with hydrogen in the presence of sodium hydroxide. This reaction produces 4-bromo-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran, which can be further converted into a variety of other chemicals by coupling with other reagents. 4-Bromo-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran is used as a starting material for the synthesis of other chemicals including antibiotics (e.g., erythromycin) and antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine).
