Descripción:Bromoxynil is a herbicide that is a photosynthetic inhibitor. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of certain bacteria by inhibiting p-hydroxybenzoic acid biosynthesis. Bromoxynil can be used as an alternative herbicide to atrazine because it does not cause reproductive or developmental problems in mammals, birds, or fish. Bromoxynil has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and may be useful for treating metabolic syndrome and obesity. Bromoxynil is absorbed through the skin and causes eye irritation.
