5-(Bis(2-chloroethyl)amino)-1-methyl-2-benzimidazolebutyric acid (BCBA) is an experimental cancer drug that is being investigated for the treatment of a variety of cancers. BCBA inhibits the growth and proliferation of cancer cells by interfering with DNA synthesis and repair. BCBA has been shown to be effective in treating T cell lymphomas, as well as solid tumours such as carcinoma cell lines and breast cancer. The drug has also been used to treat hypersensitivity syndrome in many patients with infectious diseases.
