Descripción

(S)-3-(Boc-amino)pyrrolidine is a cytotoxic agent that is synthesized in the laboratory and has been shown to have antituberculosis and antibacterial activity. It is a topoisomerase inhibitor that prevents the unwinding of DNA. This drug has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial DNA, which leads to cell death by apoptosis. The cytotoxic effect of (S)-3-(Boc-amino)pyrrolidine against human cells is not well understood, but it can be used as a lead compound for developing new drugs with more specific cytotoxicity profiles.
