Descripción:The compound benzyl 4-chlorophenyl ketone is an analog of the natural product beta-phenethylamine. It has been shown to be a potent enolizing agent in organic synthesis and can also be used as a cross-coupling agent, as well as an intermediate in the synthesis of azides, grignard reagents, halides, and magnesium biomolecules. Benzyl 4-chlorophenyl ketone has been shown to have affinity for the cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1). This affinity makes this compound a potential drug candidate for treating neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease. The reaction time of benzyl 4-chlorophenyl ketone with chloride under catalysis by copper(I) chloride is approximately 10 minutes at 0 °C.
